Professional Medical Service Of Cardiology

The gastroenterology unit has been one of the three specialties of Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital since 1986. In 2018, the center became an independent functioning center, which is currently located within Ibn Sina Hospital. It has two departments: medical and surgical.

The medical department comprises general gastroenterology and hepatology units while the surgical department consists of colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary/pancreas, and general gastroenterology surgical units.

The center also has an emergency Mohamed Salih Idris Bleeding Center, and the Mohamed Salih Idris Liver Transplantation Centre is currently under construction.

In addition to these services, we also offer endoscopy nurses' training courses. Furthermore, a few fellows from the UK underwent a short period of training at our center, and their experience was published in the BMJ.
