About Us

Who We Are

A National Mandate for Healing

The National Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases (NCGLD) - المركز القومي لأمراض الجهاز الهضمي والكبد - is Sudan's premier specialized referral institution, formally established in 1995 as the nation's first dedicated center for digestive and liver diseases.

Operating under the authority of the Federal Ministry of Health, we serve not only as Sudan's leading tertiary care facility but also as a regional referral center for the Horn of Africa, providing specialized care for patients with complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions from across the region.

We are more than a hospital; we are a national institution with a profound commitment to every citizen of Sudan and a beacon of medical excellence for the entire region.
